Training and retraining in CPPEE MPEI

Center of training and professional retraining of the MPEI "Ecology in power engineering" (CPPEE MPEI) was created in 1997 as a structural subdivision of Department of professional skill improvement of the MPEI teachers and experts and works on the basis of the accreditation documents and license of the MPEI. CPPEE MPEI deals with training and professional retraining of power enigneers on the basic specialities of Heat power engineering and Electric power engineering working in power companies, fuel and energy complex, housing and communal services and other branches of economy. Director of CPPEE MPEI is Putilov V. In the Center the following categories of listeners are trained:

engineers and technicians of companies dealling with operation, design, adjustment and optimization of power equipment work;

civil servants;

students of the MPEI and other high schools interested in getting a vocational education;

dug-outs interested in getting the second (civil) speciality;

unemployed interested in qualification change;

other categories of listeners interested in improvement of their skills or retraining in the field of power engineering.

Studies are conducted by the leading experts in power engineering. CPPEE MPEI works on the continuous plan of training and professional retraining of power engineering specialists.

In the Center a list of training and retraining programs is permanently enlarged. In CPPEE MPEI other training programs can be developed if it is needed. In case of formation of listeners' group by one Customer teaching can be conducted in any agreed terms.

Under the order of the Russian Open JSC "UES of Russia" (RAO "UES of Russia") teachers of CPPEE MPEI have developed the unique manual "Ecology in power engineering" under edition of V. Putilov. MPEI Publishers have issued the manual in 2003. For the first time in Russia in September, 2007 the informational collection "State-of-the-art nature protection technologies in electric power engineering", developed by IACEE MPEI according to the Program of ecological policy implementation of RAO "UES of Russia", have been issued.

A group of MPEI employees including CPPEE MPEI teachers: Putilov V.Y., Prokhorov V.B., Lyskov M.G. and Tupov V.B. have got the IV National ecological prize in 2007 in the nomination "Education for sustainable development" for development and implementation of the project "Permanent complex system of experts' training in the field of ecology in power engineering for high schools and postgraduate vocational education system". The award is instituted by the State Duma of the RF and Vernadsky Foundation.
